Fotografi er minner. Hvorfor husker vi det vi gjør? Du husker andre ting enn meg når vi opplever det samme.
Etter at motivene er bearbeidet brukes en laserkutter til å prege motivene i overflaten til sandpapir.
English:
Photographs are memories. Why do we remember the things we remember? When we share the same experience, you still remember different things than me. The motives for this exhibition are taken from vacation pictures. The motifs are digitally processed and different elements in the pictures have been removed. These are elements that have been considered less important, and in this way the memory has been enhanced. This is the same way the brain works. The brain reduces memories. When we think of them, we remember more and more details. Other times we need to talk to people or see things that are associated with the memory in order to remember. Sometimes we add details that are not true. In this way, memories also lie to us. Later I have used a laser cutter to add the motives of the surface of sandpaper. Sandpaper is designed to grind, improve and make things nice and smooth. The motifs are over multiple sheets, the same way that memories also consists of fragments.
